Lash Lift & Tint in Bracknell

Your own lashes, lifted from the root and tinted — longer-looking, wide open and done for weeks. No extensions, no glue, no curlers. £48, personally by Safina.

Natural lashes lifted and tinted after an LVL lash lift at Lady Young's in Bracknell

Plenty of people have perfectly good lashes that simply point the wrong way — straight out, or angled down, so most of their length is hidden. A lash lift fixes the direction rather than adding anything. Your own lashes are curled upwards from the root and tinted, so the length you already have is finally on show.

It’s done here as an LVL lash lift and tint: one 55-minute appointment, and for the next several weeks you wake up looking like you’ve curled your lashes and put mascara on. No glue, no infills, nothing to fall off.

Who a lash lift suits

  • Straight or downward lashes — the length is there, just hidden.
  • Fair or light lashes — the tint makes them visible without mascara.
  • Curler users — the daily clamp, done once for weeks.
  • Holidays and swimming — nothing to run, smudge or melt.

What it can’t do is create length or fullness that isn’t there. Very short or sparse lashes may not have enough to lift, and Safina will say so honestly rather than book you in for a result you won’t see.

What to expect

Your lash lift, step by step

  1. Patch test

At least 24–48 hours before your appointment, a small amount of product is tested on your skin to check for sensitivity. This isn't optional, and it's the step people most often forget to leave time for.

  2. Cleanse & shield

Your lashes are cleansed of any oil and makeup, your lower lashes are protected, and a soft silicone shield is chosen to suit your lash length and the curl you want.

  3. Lift & set

The lashes are brushed up onto the shield, the lifting lotion is applied and timed to your lash type, then a setting lotion fixes the curl. You lie back with your eyes closed throughout.

  4. Tint & finish

A tint is applied to darken the lashes from root to tip, then everything is gently removed. About 55 minutes in all, and you walk out with lifted, defined lashes and nothing to do.

Afterwards

How long it lasts, and looking after it

A lift typically lasts six to eight weeks. What ends it isn’t the curl relaxing but your lashes renewing: each one sheds and is replaced on its own cycle, and the new ones grow in straight. Healthline’s medically reviewed guide to lash lifts puts the figure at around four to six weeks for exactly that reason — so how long yours hold is really a question of how quickly your own lashes turn over.

The same guide’s aftercare is short and worth following: keep your lashes dry for 24 to 48 hours, and in the weeks after, avoid waterproof mascara, oil-based products and lash curlers. Beyond that, the less you rub your eyes, the longer the lift looks neat.

Because it runs on the same six-to-eight-week rhythm as brow lamination, the two are easy to keep on one schedule. Planning around a wedding or a holiday? Our bridal beauty timeline puts a lash lift 10 to 14 days before the day, so it has softened out of its freshest set by the time the photos are taken.

The patch test, and why it matters

A lash lift involves chemical lotions and a tint used right beside your eyes, so a patch test is required at least 24–48 hours beforeyour appointment. It’s the same rule the clinic applies to every tint and lamination treatment, and it’s there for your safety rather than as a formality.

The ingredient most worth knowing about is PPD (paraphenylenediamine). The NHS page on hair dye reactions explains that PPD is known to irritate skin or cause allergic reactions, and that you may be more at risk if you have, or have ever had, a black henna tattoo, because the paste used contains high levels of it. Nouveau Lashes, who make the LVL system, go further in their patch testing guidance: a tint patch test must not be carried out at all on someone who has previously reacted to PPD or a black henna tattoo.

So if either applies to you, say so when you get in touch — before the patch test, not after. The same guidance also sets out when a new patch test is needed even for a returning client: after six months without a treatment, or whenever your medical history changes. New medication, pregnancy or a recent eye procedure are all worth mentioning.

Your questions

Lash lift FAQs

A lash lift curls your own natural lashes upwards from the root, so they look longer and more open without adding anything to them. A lifting lotion softens the lashes so they can be reshaped over a small silicone shield, then a setting lotion fixes the new curl in place. At Lady Young's it's done as an LVL lash lift and tint, so the lashes are darkened in the same appointment and look like you're wearing mascara when you aren't.
